Short-Term Running Goals:

Train hard for the next few weeks, hit up nike cross, then get in good 55 plus weeks for winter training with some mile tempos in, just enjoying the running life with my close friends. ( Holt, Kimz, Trev, Danny boy,)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run varsity XC/Track through out the rest of high school.

Break 4:18 in the mile.

Break 15:46 for 5K

Run XC at college :)

Personal:

I am 17 years old. I attend Pine View High school as a Junior. I specialize in business classes and science. ( Ap bio, bio, and human bio) I have been running for about 2 and a quarter years (Appx) anddidnt really get good at running till this last track season >:) I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and am about to complete my Eagle. :) finally!! . . . . . . . well that is about it. . . . . umm . . . . if you want to ask me some questions feel free to do so. :)

6 mile half tempo kinda run. i think me and kimz were around 6:40 -7:00. Ran with kimz,josh,coach for a few miles,jeff, and Ruth. 4 100M bare foot striders back and forth + 800 warm up= 1 mile And 1 mile in PE.

Im so irritated! My shin splints kicked in about a mile into the run and i had to limp it back home. I  feel terrible. But now i am icing every night so that shall not happen again.

800 warm up. then we (Ruth, willy, Jeff, and Bake) ran our tempo miles run out by holts house. then 4X100 down and back bare foot striders. mine and willys mile times were good! maby a little to fast but still better than slow.

Woke up at 6:30 this morning to run with coach, but i went to bed at like 12:30 so i was WASTED!!!!!!! But i did run this weekend and now i have set a new most miles PR!!!! :) I did the trail out towards the Dixie Center and turned around at 5. I felt like i could run a Marathon today. Last night i had one of those Gel packs. I could really tell the difference when i ate one. Wow!! I was right around a 7:30 pace. PERFECT!!!

TEMPO RUN!!!!!!!!! WOO!!!!!!!!! i love these. as you can see. :) me and kimz were together today. 6:09 for the first one 6:15 for 2 and 6:08 for 3. Felt like i would running a race. and thats what im suppose to feel like! 800 warm and grass striders.

AM: 3 miles at 5:30 in the morning with coach and ruth. Plus 800 warm.

PM: 1200 warm; 7 with coach willy josh kimz and trev. Today we did the green springs 7. It was way fun. The runs go by a lot faster when every one is joinging the conversation and just enjoying  being healthy. dont forget about getting ready to kick some real butt. XC Style!!! No track style, XC. At least for now till i begin to like track.

AM: My mini vans transmission blew out! So i couldnt get to practice :(

 

PM: 800 warm; then we did the dog pound 4 mile AT (Full) our first mile was 5:52 so i was perfectly on pace. about 5 seconds under my regular XC pace. then bare foot striders 5 of them this time. :)
